First Lecture Description:
Course Title: Implants in the Esthetic Zone
Course Summary: This program will review the necessary pre-requisites for success in the Esthetic Zone. It is important to evaluate the patient’s “Esthetic Risk”. A prescription for success needs to be considered. It is important to: have an acceptable site, place the implant properly in all three dimensions, position of the microgap, have a stable abutment connection, and create an acceptable ceramic outcome. The final restorative result will not be successful unless the transition zone is managed with an emergence profile provisional restoration.
Course Objectives: Participants will learn:
1. Evaluation of Esthetic Risk
2. Pre-requisites for success
3. The Importance of Provisional Restorations to create emergence profile restorations
4. The Importance of Treatment Planning
Speaker: Dr. Frank Higginbottom
Biosketch: Frank L. Higginbottom is a 1971 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry.
