Cranksgiving is part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt, and a whole lot of fun.
Event Details
Participating riders will go on a scavenger hunt that will lead them to grocery stores where they will collect food items that will be donated to the food bank at the The Stewpot for Thanksgiving dinners.
The event is free, but you’ll need to bring a bike, fully charged phone, helmet, lock, bag, navigation skills, and about $15-$20 to purchase food items. Check in starts at 10 am. The ride starts at 11 am. Participants must be finished by 1:30 pm to quality for prizes. After party will feature adult beverages donated by Community Beer Company. Pre-register for the event by clicking the eventbrite link. ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO PRE-REGISTER WILL RECEIVE A RAFFLE TICKET FOR A DRAWING HELD DURING THE EVENT!!!
You can ride solo or with a team. Teams will be limited to no more than 6 people. EVERYONE on a team must stay together and purchase food items at the designated grocery store to be eligible for prizes. For example: if there are 5 people on a team, there should be 5 items purchased at 1 stop. This is a charity event and not a race. Remember to have fun and enjoy being on a bike helping people have a nice Thanksgiving. This is a family friendly event. Anyone under 18 must be comfortable riding on city streets and accompanied by a guardian. Participants must be finished by 1:30 pm to quality for prizes.
All riders participate at their own risk. Helmets required.
