Plano is a city located in Collin and Denton Counties, Texas. Plano is a mid-sized city with a population of about 265,000 according to the 2020 U.S Census report. Plano was founded in 1873 and was officially incorporated as a city in September of 1881. This makes Plano the oldest incorporated city in Collin County. In the past 100 years, this thriving city has grown into a major business center and today it is considered one of the most affluent cities in the United States with a median household income of $94,890 according to 2010 census data.
